This is the course to really get you focussed on all things wedding…suitable for those who have some experience- you do NOT have to be a working florist but you may well be…perhaps you need to refine your skills, practice different designs, refresh your look, get reinspired or just have a reconnecting few days at the school…
The course runs over four consecutive days:
Day 1 -An in depth look at the paperwork involved to run a successful wedding…from initial contact to delivery- the process, the paper trail,the legalities, the designing, the ordering, the prices, the delivery etc -EVERYTHING…
Practical work: A large hand tied wedding bouquet focusing on technique, creating a loose and relaxed design with a trailing, velvet, ribboned handle.
Day 2– The Bridal Party …we will focus on the designs worn on the body..making and delivering
Practical work: buttonholes, corsages, wrist corsages, floral crowns, hair flowers etc using wiring, gathering and glue as mechanics
Day 3 – Let’s get suspended…all the logistics and mechanics behind the creation of larger, hanging designs eg planks, globes, chandeliers, clouds etc
Practical work: A large floral chandelier…(foam free)
Day 4 -Table designs -all the designs, issues, logistics and mechanics…
Practical work -the table scape: A long Table Canopy (foam free) to create a fabulous, statement design AND a Long and Low (foam free) design down the middle of the table…we will stage an event table with candles and lanterns…
All refreshments and cake are provided. You take all your designs home with you. Please bring a packed lunch.
