The History of Floristry – online lectures- 19th June -19th August 2024

My degree was in Art History and I have studied the history of floristry for years and many of you have come to classes on Constance Spry, the Dutch Masters or even Frida… but this is the first time I am pulling all the eras together to deliver a series of classes online which you can watch ‘live’ or recorded.

On purchase you will receive an e mail from me with a link to join a new private facebook group into which the classes will be delivered live at the published times. These are automatically saved into the group so you can access them as often as you like. You DO NOT need to be available at the ‘live’ times! Once the course has started we will use the group to interact with each other and I will add hand outs, extra resources as needed.

The group will stay open from the beginning of the course 19th June until 19th August 2024 after which the group will be closed.

We will cover Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Chinese and Japanese, Middle Ages/Tudor, Baroque- Dutch C17th, Victorian, Edwardian, Constance Spry, 1980’s to present day.

There will be five classes -each about an hour- delivered into the group live:

  1. Wednesday 19th June 11am
  2. Tuesday 25th June 5pm
  3. Tuesday 2nd July 6pm
  4. Thursday 11th July 12pm
  5. Tuesday 16th July 2pm
