The History of Floristry – online lectures- 1st -30th Sept ’24
My degree was in Art History and I have studied the history of floristry for years and many of you have come to classes on Constance Spry, the Dutch Masters or even Frida… but this is the first time I have pulled all the eras together to deliver a series of classes online within a Facebook group.
Knowing the history of floristry is such an important part of your floral journey, helping us understand how trends and techniques come and go.
On purchase you will receive an e mail from me with a link to join the private Facebook group. The classes (videos) are pre recorded and are all available in the group -no waiting for specific dates and times. Once the course has started we will use the group to interact with each other and if required I will add extra information, images etc Please feel free to ask questions, and ask for more information on the different eras if you’d like to know something specific.
We will cover Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Chinese, Medieval, Tudor, Dutch C17th, Victorian, Edwardian, Georgian and Regency, 1914-1939, Post War-1998, 1970’s to present day.
*I am going to be adding Baroque, Rococo, Italian Renaissance videos over the Summer ready for the September start date.
Below each video (in the comments section) there are relevant images to help bring the video to life. There is also a Reading List.
Purchase allows you access into the group for a month after which the group will be ’emptied’ ready for the next lot of students. This keeps the group small and therefore interaction with each other and me viable.
Any questions just message me!
