A chance to spend the morning curating a fabulously refined and elegant Japanese style arrangement in the spirit of Ikebana.
Georgia spent a year in Japan in 1992 and as part of her ‘cultural training’ studied Ikebana with a local teacher. We will start the session with a short history of Ikebana and a demonstration of some of the various styles.
You will then create a design using seasonal flowers and foliage..learning how to really look at the line, form and energy of each bloom. It’s really calming and satisfying creating designs that are so simple in appearance but with so many layers of meaning and spirituality.
All materials and the bowls and pin holders are provided and are yours to keep.
