Dahlia Propogation Workshop 9am-2pm
Richard, from Withypitts Dahlias, is the absolute king of dahlia growers and breeders…
A great opportunity to visit with a group from the school and spend the day learning how to propagate, take cuttings, grow, look after…everything you need to be the local dahlia expert with the longest stems, the truest colours, the longest shelf life….you will go home with a tray of rooted cuttings, four tubers, a specialist knife, having had lunch and lots of information!
Suitable for ANYONE who would like to grow their own Dahlias you do not need any experience.
The day is held at the farm in Turners Hill.
9am coffee and introductions
9.30 am workshop starts with Richard demonstrating:
-starting tubers into growth
-taking cuttings from the tuber
-preparing the cuttings
-potting on the rooted cuttings
10.45 coffee break
You take your own cuttings under guidance
12.45 buffet lunch
2pm finish
Places limited to 10 so book early! Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear.
