Living designs are increasingly what everyone wants…fully sustainable, long lasting , eco friendly, biodegradable …for the door, table, wedding or funeral….endlessly versatile.
On this course we will first discuss where to source plants, soil etc and how to be ethical in our choices.
We will then create a large mossed wreath and fill it with living plants. There is a lot of technique involved using different types of moss, soil etc…all designed to create a long lasting design and give you the knowledge to care for it. There will be a wide range of plants to choose from eg succulents, edibles, herbs, ferns etc
Next we will discuss the history of the ‘Kokedama‘ a hanging planted design -very on trend. You’ll be able to choose from a range of good sized house plants to create a look you like..
The designs are so natural and fun to create and will last for weeks and weeks – giving you green enjoyment for months…
All materials and gloves are provided as are coffee and cake..please bring a packed lunch. You take both your designs home with you.
